Once you've retrieved the Soul Heart and located an Altar of Dark And Darker Gold Sacrifice, follow these steps:
Prepare for the Sacrifice:
Equip the Soul Heart in one of your utility slots. Ensure that you've cleared nearby enemies and that your team is ready to defend against potential attackers.
Activate the Altar:
Stand in front of the altar, face it, and press the hotkey corresponding to the slot holding the Soul Heart. This action begins the revival process, which takes approximately 20 seconds to complete.
Pay the Price:
Reviving a teammate isn't free—it costs the reviver 15% of their max HP. This trade-off can leave you vulnerable, so make sure your team is prepared to protect you during the process.
What Happens After Revival
Reviving a teammate is only half the battle. A resurrected player returns with nothing but their life, leaving them extremely vulnerable. To maximize their chances of Dark And Darker Gold survival:
Provide Gear:
Return any Dark and Darker Items you salvaged from the fallen teammate. Drop the items near the altar so they can quickly re-equip.
At a minimum, ensure they have a weapon and basic armor to defend themselves.
Escort and Protect:
The revived player may need guidance and cover while they rebuild their inventory. Stick together and prioritize looting nearby enemies or chests to find additional equipment.
Plan for Escape:
If your team is battered and resources are low, consider heading toward an extraction point. Losing the Dark and Darker Gold and Cheap Dark and Darker Items you've accumulated is a greater risk than pushing deeper into the dungeon.
