For the first time, players will be able to unlock a host of new Rune Words in the Ladder system! To clarify, these Rune Words have never existed in the game before, and they will not be accessible in non-Ladder play as the previous set of only Ladder Rune Words in the original Diablo II experience. The end of a Ladder season players who can successfully make their own Rune Words will have their Ladder characters be moved into an "non-Ladder" variation of the game. When the season begins the following Ladder season, participants will create a new Ladder character and begin the game all over again in order to win new rewards.
